Therapy in NYC
Therapy Built for New Yorkers
You may have looked for evidence-based therapy before, only to find that well-trained providers who deliver therapy grounded in research don’t always know how to respect the LGBTQ+ experience. As a queer psychologist myself, I started this practice specifically to offer research-based therapy techniques that work for queer people. If you are interested in finding therapy in NYC, you are invited to look over our website and discover the services we offer. Welcome to Full Focus Therapy, a private practice located in New York, NY designed with LGBTQ+ people in mind.

One-on-One Support
When mental health falls out of balance, so many people feel lost and alone. Therapy, at its root, is about connecting with someone who accepts you where you are now. From the foundation of DBT therapy, together we build change step by step, and we develop acceptance for the things we cannot change. DBT works by providing a number of effective therapeutic strategies. Those strategies, combined with building a real relationship with your therapist, drive life-affirming change. The queer-friendly individual psychotherapy services at Full Focus Therapy are delivered virtually, making it that much easier to invest in your mental well-being over the long term.
Family Therapy
Communication problems, life transitions, or the daily buildup of stress and trauma get in the way of the relationships that matter most. A collaborative guide can get you through it with empathy and expert insight. We’ll navigate gender and sexuality explorations, non-monogamous partnerships, or simply focus on deepening and strengthening your bond. You can expect that your therapist will take an active role in the sessions, holding a safe, supportive container where you can challenge old patterns and explore new ways of being together.
Group Therapy
Looking for a respectful and confidential place to learn to regulate your emotions or repair relationships? Connecting with people who are going through it too is the answer to loneliness and shame. Find solidarity in a group of adults who are going through a similar situation, gathered around the same mission: to help each other develop new skillsets. Each group session starts with a mindfulness exercise to ground you in the moment. Check back here for announcements about the next round of therapy groups!
